Ines, a young woman working in a hotel in Tunisia, falls pregnant with German guest Jermayne’s baby. Shortly after, Jermayne disappears back to Germany with the baby, and Ines’ sole purpose in life is to find her child.
Jones narrates Ines’ journey to Berlin from the viewpoint of marginal characters – her supervisor at the hotel, a truck driver who offers her a lift – offering an unusual and interesting version of the story.
